Marloth Park
Marloth Park is located approximately 4 1/2 hours drive north-east of Johannesburg, on the banks of Crocodile River, between Malelane and Komatiepoort. Marloth Park is a nature reserve and holiday park. In Marloth Park you will find 4 of the "Big Five" (no elephants). At 2 minutes from Marlove Cottage you find the entrance to Lionsspruit. Lions, buffalo and rhinos are found in this reserve. The other wild animals are not restricted by gates and roam freely on the more than 3000 ha. which you may encounter during a walk. Or from the terrace of Marlove cottage comes face to face with a Kudu, Zebra, Giraffe etc. The animals may be used to people, but always remember they are and remain wild animals.
At Marloth Park you will only find 1 asphalted road. All other roads are unpaved.
Marloth Park borders Kruger National Park, and the southern entrance to the nature reserve via
Crocodile Bridge is just a short 15-minute drive away. Komatiepoort is a 15-minute
drive from Marloth Park. There are several restaurants in Komatiepoort, a large
supermarket, and various shops.

The climate in Marloth Park is subtropical, the winters are mild and the summers very warm. In the autumn and winter it is dry so that the bushes and trees have less
leaves, that way you can spot the wild live better. The animals will also visit the water places more often.

We do advise you to obtain information for any vaccinations before you visit us. Kruger National Park and Marloth Park are located in an area where Malaria can occur
- Access at your own risk
- Quad bikes or other motorbikes are not allowed in the par
- No noise - including music at any time of the day
- No loud noise after. 6 p.m.
- No searchlights from a car or flashlight. You run the risk of being prosecuted for poaching
- Do not leave any wasteoutside. On the street at Marlove Cottage is a cage (baboon-proof) where the waste can be temporarily stored. Then take it as quickly as possible to the garbage collection point at the gate. The waste is collected here.
Waste is dangerous for the animals and quickly gives considerable nuisance of baboons! - Consider the speed. Max 50 km / h on the asphalt and max. 30 km / h on all unpaved roads.
The animals - without exception - always have priority. There can be a considerable fine for violation! - Do not feed the animals corn or bread. The stomach of the animals cannot handle this kind of food and they certainly die from it. In the shops at the park, special chunks are for sale if you still want to feed them.
- Pets are not allowed.
- Trees and shrubs may not be pruned without permission. Dead wood also plays an important role in nature and must remain. For the (indispensable) braai you can buy wood or briquettes in the store(s).
- Walking, running or cycling are prohibited from sunset to sunrise.
- It is forbidden to make a fire, except on indicated places.
- The other side of the fence, on the river bank, is forbidden territory.
- Do not get out of the car in the vicinity of any (dangerous) animal.
- No drivers without a driver's license.
